• Perform diagnostic tests, interpret results, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families about neurological conditions, treatment options, and ongoing care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and develop comprehensive care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with advancements in neurology.

Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing with a specialization in Neurology.
• Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York.
• Certification as an Acute Care or Family Nurse Practitioner, with a focus on neurology preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a neurology setting.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in a hospital-based neurology or neurosurgery department.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Experience managing patients with chronic neurological conditions such as epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, or Parkinson’s disease.
