Job Title: Trauma Physician Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to trauma patients, including initial assessment, diagnostics, treatment, and follow-up.
• Collaborate with attending physicians, surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Perform procedures such as suturing, wound care, and other minor surgical interventions under the supervision of a physician.
• Participate in trauma resuscitation and assist in the management of critically ill patients.
• Conduct patient rounds, document care, and ensure clear communication with patients and their families.
• Engage in continuous education and training to stay current with best practices in trauma care.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Active New York State PA license.
• BLS and ACLS certification required; ATLS certification is highly preferred.
• Strong clinical skills in trauma care with a commitment to high-quality patient outcomes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Experience:

• 1-3 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in a trauma or emergency medicine setting.
• Experience working in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center.
