Job Title: Trauma Physician Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to trauma patients, including initial assessment, diagnostics, treatment, and follow-up.
- Collaborate with attending physicians, surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Perform procedures such as suturing, wound care, and other minor surgical interventions under the supervision of a physician.
- Participate in trauma resuscitation and assist in the management of critically ill patients.
- Conduct patient rounds, document care, and ensure clear communication with patients and their families.
- Engage in continuous education and training to stay current with best practices in trauma care.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Active New York State PA license.
- BLS and ACLS certification required; ATLS certification is highly preferred.
- Strong clinical skills in trauma care with a commitment to high-quality patient outcomes.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in a trauma or emergency medicine setting.
- Experience working in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center.
