General job duties. Types of procedures required. Our staff pharmacists are responsible for interpreting and evaluating provider orders for safe, rational, and cost effective drug therapy for patients at Bartlett Regional Hospital. Pharmacists are responsible for the accuracy of drug dispensing, monitoring of drug therapy, communicating with providers involved in the care of patients, participating in assuring adherence to BRH drug use policy, and providing pharmacotherapy education and information for physicians, nurses, and patients. The pharmacist is also responsible for clinical projects and participates in committee work as assigned. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. computerized charting, meditech Required skills and minimum years of experience. Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in hospital pharmacy practice or completion of a pharmacy practice residency in a hospital setting is preferred. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. Education: Pharmacy Degree (Bachelor's or PharmD) from an accredited school of pharmacy License(s): State of Alaska Pharmacist License in good standing Certification(s): None Shift or schedule requirements.
