Key Responsibilities:
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical, therapeutic, or diagnostic procedures.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement anesthesia care plans.
- Manage anesthesia-related emergencies and complications effectively.
- Participate in preoperative assessments and postoperative care as needed.
- Stay current with advancements in anesthesia practices and integrate them into clinical practice.
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
- Active and unrestricted RN license in New York State.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in a hospital setting, particularly in a Level I trauma center or large academic medical center.
- Familiarity with a variety of anesthesia techniques and patient populations.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
