Key Responsibilities:
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthetics as necessary to maintain patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement anesthesia care plans.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient assessments and education.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current with best practices in anesthesia care.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid CRNA certification.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working in a hospital setting, particularly in a Level II Trauma Center.
- Proficiency in a variety of anesthesia techniques, including general, regional, and local anesthesia.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a broad spectrum of cases, including complex and high-acuity patients.
