Key Responsibilities:
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients throughout surgical procedures.
- Develop individualized anesthesia care plans based on patient history and surgical requirements.
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Conduct pre-operative assessments, including patient interviews and reviewing medical histories.
- Manage and treat any anesthesia-related complications or emergencies that may arise.
- Participate in post-operative patient care, including pain management and recovery monitoring.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of anesthesia practices through participation in quality assurance and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency program.
- Board Certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology.
- Valid and unrestricted New York State medical license.
- Strong understanding of current anesthesia techniques, medications, and technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in a large, multi-specialty hospital or academic medical center.
- Experience with a wide range of anesthesia procedures, including general, regional, and local anesthesia.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Working Environment:
- Work within state-of-the-art surgical suites and procedure rooms.
